Jake’s Story

Jake was born with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), a rare genetic disorder that causes cancerous tumors in the G.I. tract. At just 16, he had 3.5 feet of his colon removed to prevent cancer. In recent months, doctors discovered a cancerous tumor in his abdomen, along with additional polyps in his intestines and stomach.

Jake underwent surgery on March 12th and is now focusing on recovery. Missing extended time from work has put a financial strain on him, but with the love and support of his friends, family, and community, he’s staying strong.
